MEASURE.

Good stewardship begins with understanding current performance.

SPI provides a structured framework for measuring stewardship across five interconnected pillars: Water, Energy, Ecology, Community, and Transparency. By establishing a consistent baseline, organizations can identify strengths, opportunities, and demonstrate progress over time.

IMPROVE.

Stewardship is not a one-time achievement.

SPI encourages continuous improvement through measurable goals, independent reporting, and ongoing evaluation. As projects evolve, organizations can track progress, compare results over time, and make informed decisions that strengthen long-term performance.

PROTECT.

Infrastructure should create lasting value for both communities and the environment.

SPI helps organizations demonstrate accountability, build public trust, and encourage stewardship practices that leave places stronger than they were before. Protecting natural systems and community well-being is not simply an outcome. It is part of the design.

Help Shape the Future of Stewardship

The Stewardship Performance Index is an independent framework currently under development. It is intended to evolve through research, collaboration, and real-world application.

If you’re interested in infrastructure, sustainability, governance, environmental performance, or responsible development, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect.
